A simple trick for straight sticker placement

Last week during the Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City I learned a fantastic trick for lining up and placing stickers on projects.

Use window sheets!

Here I borrowed the top sheet from the stamp set that came in my July 2014 Paper Pumpkin kit.  I laid the window sheet down on my grid paper and used the lines to space my stickers and make sure they were straight.  When I placed the stickers on the window sheet, I made sure that the top halves of the stickers were hanging off the edge of my window sheet, but not sticking to the grid paper below.

Then, I picked up my window sheet and held it over my card to decide where to place the stickers.

Once I figured out where I wanted them, I pressed down on the top half of the stickers, transferring them from the window sheet to my card,  carefully removing the bottom half of the stickers from the window sheet before moving it away, then pressed the bottom half of the stickers down onto my card.

Look at that!  Perfectly lined up, straight stickers!

So simple and clever, right?  How have I never heard of this before?

Did you already know about this trick?
