Some days it doesn't take much to make me laugh...

I did an Google image search and couldn't find an original source for this, but I saw it on Pinterest.

My First Wedding Card!

As far as I can remember I've never made a wedding card before, so this is my first!  I took inspiration from this card by Julie Davidson.

It's hard to tell, but I used Shimmery White card stock and all the black stamped parts are embossed.

This new Gold Foil paper from from the Holiday Catalog is so pretty I had a hard time cutting into it!

Stamps:  Chalk Talk, Blooming With Kindness, Label Love
Paper:  Shimmery White, Basic Black, Gold Foil
Ink:  Versamark
Accessories:   Black Embossing Powder, Modern Mosaics Embossing Folder, Artisan Label Punch, Label Bracket Punch, Chalk Talk Framelits, Dimensionals, Basic Pearls

Wow!  That's quite a list!  3 different stamp sets?!

What's the largest number of stamp sets you've used on one card?

Flashback Friday - Beary Best Friends

I needed to make a card for my sweet little niece who's turning 5 and I realized that I just don't have a lot of stamp sets to make cards for little girls!

Now, I'm not saying there aren't girls who like trains, and dinosaurs, and sports, (all of which I have stamp sets) but I don't have many sets I would automatically reach for to make cards for girls.

Good thing I've held onto this retired stamp set called Beary Best Friends!

To make the polka dot dress I stamped the image on a piece of Pawsitively Prints Designer Series Paper and carefully cut it out with my paper snips.  A little Crystal Effects on the eyes and nose makes them shiny and dimensional.

What retired sets are you hanging onto?

sitstaystamp.com Blooming With Kindness FMS101 Natalie Kennedy

I've had a card idea rolling around in my brain for a while now - please tell me I'm not the only person that does that...spend more time thinking about making a card than it would take to actually make it?

Anyhow, when I saw just how close this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge was to the idea I had in my head, I realized  it was time to go for it.

Stamps:  Blooming With Kindness
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding
Ink:  White, Coastal Cabana

NEW Christmas themed single stamps!

Wow!  A new Christmas-themed collection of single stamps is now available! And aren't they beautiful?

What are 'single stamps'?  What that means is you can get just one, or you can get them all!  And 6 of the 8 stamps coordinate with our Framelits or punches.

It may seem early to start working on your Christmas projects, but it'll be here before you know it!  These stamps will only be available until January 31, 2014

Dress Up Framelit Treat Holder

I'm at the Stampin' Up! Convention this week and I wanted to share a project I made to swap with other demonstrators while I'm here.  These treat holders are made using the Dress Up Framelit Dies.  I first saw the idea to make these boxes by watching a video by Shirley Merker on a special website for Stampin' Up! demonstrators, but I've seen a few different tutorials online showing how to make them.

I came up with the idea for the scallops at the neckline by using the 7/8" Scallop circle punch.  I punched Whisper white cardstock, then snipped the little scalloped circle in quarters and adhered a quarter behind each part of the neckline.

Not only are you able to completely customize the design of the dresses themselves, you're also able to adjust the size of the treat box to fit whatever treat you choose perfectly.

Wouldn't these be an adorable little gift or table setting for a shower, baptism, or christening?

Paper:  Coastal Cabana and Whisper White cardstock, Eastern Elegance DSP
